Church History
Phase One & Two Smyrna Church of Christ was founded in 1963 by Apostle Preston Graves. The first prayer meeting was held in the home of Deacon and Mother Blanche Bigelow. Services were held in a very durable tent with wood flooring and a wood-burning stove, located in Caswell County. There were only a few members, but began to grow rapidly.

Phase Three
Mizpah Church Road In 1972, Smyrna Church family moved into the first newly built sanctuary. Over the next few years, the Smyrna flourished through The Word of God and outreach ministries.

Phase Four
Mizpah Church Road In 1995 the Smyrna Church marched into and dedicated the second newly built sanctuary, where services are now held under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Fowler, appointed by Apostle Preston Graves.
